What to Do

This is not really a game, but a way to provide tips and advice to the new bride on how to make her marriage last. During the shower the hostess will give each guest a 3x5 index card. The guests will then write down their favorite tips, quotes, romantic poems, or verses of the bible. Remember these tips can be inspirational or humorous. Then all the cards are given to the bride. The bride will be able to keep them as a memento from her shower or to put in a wedding scrapbook.

Examples:

• A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person.
• The secret of a successful marriage is not to be at home too much.
• May you share everything in your marriage, including the housework.
• Success in marriage does not come merely through finding the right mate, but through being the right mate.
• One of the greatest assets to a good marriage is honesty, along with a sense of humor.
• Marriage is three parts love and seven parts forgiveness of sins.
• Don't smother each other. No one can grow in shade.
