About the Holiday

Administrative Professional Day formerly known as Secretary Day honors all the hard working assistants who keep their boss organized and on time. These professionals would be receptionist, secretaries, assistants, and any professional support position. This highly celebrated holiday was created in 1952 by Harry F. Klemfuss. He realized the importance of the position and created this holiday to encourage more women to become secretaries. Like the name, these positions have changed and grown to become an intricate part of companies and businesses.
