National Daiquiri Day is a day to enjoy this ultimate summer cocktail. Main ingredients include rum, sugar, lime, and ice. The Daiquiri was created in the late 1800s by American mining engineer Jennings Cox while in Cuba. It is said the drink is named after a beach near Santiago Cuba named Daiquiri.

Daiquiri is said to be the favorite drink of Ernest Hemingway and John F. Kennedy. The most common type of daiquiri is strawberry. Daiquiris can be made by shaking ingredients in ice or frozen. Fat Tuesday bar has a huge variety of frozen daiquiris.
