Men's Grooming Day was developed because with the closing of barbershops men have little choice but to visit salons that cater to women. Gone are the days when men would go to the local barbershop to get a haircut and a shave while enjoying the company of other men. Most men get a functional haircut and are own their way. Today is about reminding men there is more than a shower and quick shave to getting ready. The purpose is to get salon's and barbershops to pay more attention to their male clients.
