About the Holiday

International Joke Day is a holiday to celebrate the benefit that good humor brings to our lives. The first semblances of jokes is said to have originated in ancient Greece around 1200 BC where Palamedes legendarily outwitted Odysseus before the Trojan War.^[1] Numerous studies have shown that laughter reduces stress, increases immunity to illness, and increases the quality of life. Celebrate this holiday by telling a joke to someone laugh.
