About the Holiday

International Day of Peace is a much needed holiday which began in 1891 and was originated by the United Nations. It was the hope that on this day there would be an understanding that all violence and warfare would suspend and peace could prevail.

Whether or not this happens, could happen, or will happen, it is an idea we all must remember. Also, what better day to give a gift than on a holiday made specifically for peace?
