On Wonderful Weirdos Day, we celebrate weirdos everywhere. Merriam-Webster dictionary describes weirdos as "a person who is extraordinarily strange or eccentric". Oxford dictionary states that the origin of weird from "Old English wyrd 'destiny', of Germanic origin. The adjective (late Middle English) originally meant 'having the power to control destiny'." Others describe weirdos as odd, strange, or different. Wonder if it is a coincidence that the word weird does not follow the usual spelling rules where i comes before e except after c.
