National Ravioli Day is the day to buy or make your favorite ravioli dish. Ravioli comes in more varieties than you think. They can be square or round and may be stuffed with meat, cheese, mushroom, spinach, crab, shrimp, lobster, chicken, pumpkin and can even be served fried (usually as an appetizer). Most meat or cheese ravioli dishes are served with a red sauce and the others in a white or oil/pesto based sauce.
