International Day of Peace or World Peace Day is a global call for ceasefire and non-violence. The International Day of Peace was established in 1981 by resolution 36/67 of the United Nations General Assembly. It was the hope that on this day there would be an understanding that all violence and warfare would suspend and peace could prevail.

Use this day to be nice, peaceful, humble, and gracious. Also, what better day to give a gift than on a holiday made specifically for peace?
